Vanity underlies human behavior and can be expressed in various forms the social, moral, aesthetic, economic fields. It is an emotional complex that encompasses narcissism histrionics as character traits, well other functions, such memory, imagination, cognition, instinctive drive. This study focuses on homo oeconomicus using economic-philosophical approach to detail vanity a situation of social interaction between agent who shows off spectator observes when topic mutual comparison face external signs wealth. To end, Adam Smith’s thoughts Theory Moral Sentiments Stuart Mill's studies disturbances models used. In conclusion, we intend demonstrate these two economist-philosophers remain relevant determining contemporary oeconomicus.
